Medicine cabinets are stacked and appointments are ready to be made, as the Dougherty County Health Clinic prepares to welcome its first patients.
The new clinic, located at 114 North Jackson Street, opened it’s doors Monday for an open house.
The clinic is exclusive to county health insured employees and is free of charge for these employees.
Authorities say the intended wait time for this clinic is 10 to 20 minutes.
“Right now, some employees don’t even have a personal care physician, and we’re hoping with the availability and convenience of this that we’re going to see great morale increases, great productivity at work and less absenteeism at work,” said Alice Goseer-Jenkins, HR Director for Dougherty County.
The clinic will be officially open Monday, February 1, 2016.
