As a fourth-grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary School in the City of St. Charles School District with a one-hour-and-15-minute commute to work, Scott Humphreys didn’t have much time in his life to think about nutritional facts and a workout regimen. That changed after the school district launched its own health clinic, called The Bridge Health Center, and a wellness incentive program.

Humphreys, 32, was fairly certain that his health was perfect when he decided to participate in the district’s Health Risk Assessment (HRA) initiative, which required a visit to The Bridge Health Center and would earn him points in the incentive program.

“I was completely shocked at what my results were,” Humphreys said.
