Public and private entities are partnering together for healthcare solutions.

It is a new era in healthcare with near-site and on-site health center pioneer CareHere at the forefront here in Michigan. Entering their fifteenth year, CareHere has been serving patients in Michigan since 2007.

The CareHere primary care facility in Calhoun County, MI serves a collaboration of employees from private companies; Musashi, Systex Products Corporation, and Toyota Tsusho America, as well as government employees serving the citizens of Calhoun County. On May 1, the health center team will begin care in an all-new facility on Green Street.

According to data from reports to these public and private entities, they saved millions of dollars since initiating with CareHere, and over $814,000 on healthcare costs in just the year 2017, with the CareHere model in place. Employees are also saving dollars because there are zero co-pays or deductibles for primary care visits, pediatric care visits, labs and prescription medications when visiting the CareHere health centers.

Kelli Scott, Administrator/Controller for Calhoun County says, “To provide convenient and high-quality health and wellness services to our employees and their families under our health plan, we’re grateful for this partnership with CareHere and our local, private company partners. With this patient-centered model and our new location within a county-owned building, our employees save money and can manage health problems more efficiently, which also reduces the County’s benefits costs.”

Private employer, Systex Products Corporation joined the CareHere collaborative 4 years ago and Bernice Wiles, Human Resources Senior Manager, states, “Our employees and their families love the physicians and staff at our health center. We are constantly receiving positive feedback about our team’s financial savings, outstanding healthcare and quick access to convenient appointment times.”

CareHere’s innovative technology and proprietary Electronic Medical Records system allow employers to easily share health center operational costs across multiple organizations. This process enables CareHere’s clients to maximize appointment availability, while efficiently controlling costs. The CareHere electronic scheduler allows patients to make appointments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from their computer, the CareHere App and by calling the toll free Patient Support Center.

Systex’s Ms. Wiles shares, “With our center sharing partnership, we’re able to offer early morning, late evening and Saturday hours. Systex has seen a direct impact on our healthcare costs as a result of our participation in the CareHere Health Center. We are very pleased to see our employees actively engaged in their healthcare and focused on seeking preventative care to avoid serious health conditions. CareHere has been a win-win for Systex and our employees.”
