Dr. Schwartz joined the CareHere team as Chief Medical Officer in September of 2016. Prior to joining the team, he had already accumulated over a decade of experience focused exclusively in the onsite arena, driving high quality employer solutions to primary care and occupational medicine for their employees. Prior to working in onsite healthcare, Schwartz worked as a Sr. Medical Director in the largest multi-specialty medical group in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Schwartz also has knowledge on the health plan side from his years as CMO for Schaller Anderson Healthcare’s commercial division. While Dr. Schwartz loves his responsibilities as CMO, he also truly enjoys interacting with patients as their doctor, and still spends some of his free time providing care in an urgent care environment.
Dr. Schwartz received his undergraduate training from the University of Cincinnati 1987. He then spent a few years working in the pharmaceutical industry prior to attending Wright State University School of Medicine from 1991-1995. While in medical school he was very involved with Alpha Omega Alpha Honorary Medical Society, Phi Rho Sigma Medical Philanthropic Society, and was the recipient of the Class of 1995 Dean’s Award. He then completed his Family Medicine Residency at Phoenix Baptist Hospital in 1998. He has remained Board Certified in Family Medicine since his graduation.
Dr. Schwartz has remained driven by the goals of providing high quality, convenient and affordable care, in order to improve the health and welfare of individuals and their families through innovative approaches that remove barriers to care.
